Job Purpose
Implement EHS programs based on EHS management system & local regulatory in order to achieve the GSK Strategic Deployment Objectives in consideration of EHS policy and vision along with values & expectations.
Education & Experience:
B.E (Engineering)
At least 3-years experience of managing EHS in an organization and different domains related to Health and Safety.
Must be knowledgeable with industry standards and codes related to occupational safety and design
To be able to demonstrate good EHS performance by effective implementation of EHS policies and procedures of the organization
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance to local industry and government regulations, GSK standards, procedures, guidelines and ensure continuous EHS improvement in all work processes.
- Ensure compliance of the releases to environment from the facility’s operations; in accordance with applicable regulatory limits and other relevant environmental discharge criteria and Assist site in implementation of environmental management programmes including EHAC and AMR.
- Impart training for contractor employee for EHS awareness on global standards and work practices according to established GSK procedures and ensure Contractor Safety & conduct daily Gemba’s and reflect safety ownership to all staff.
- Conduct and ensure “investigation & reporting of EHS adverse events” for an assigned department and conduct & assist the departments to carry out risk assessment.
- Assist EHS Manager and Site in implementation of Process Safety Program across the site that include conducting process safety risk assessment techniques, implementation of controls and program governance.
- Conduct EHS self-inspections & internal audits to check the compliance of EHS standards and ensure preparation of effective CAPAs and their timely closures.
- Assist EHS Manager & Site in implementation of High Severity Risk Maturity compliance across the site.
- Participate in different meetings and forums and provide useful inputs regarding existing EHS issues, and requirements, to achieve the corporate EHS goals & maintaining cordial relationship with all the stakeholders.
- Ensure periodic reviews of EHS management system SOP’s, method statements & risk assessments, etc.& continuously improve the EHS culture amongst the staff through coaching, mentoring, counselling and in-house trainings.
- Formulate, promote and implement procedures for effective EHS knowledge management at all levels of the organization and deliver the tasks and projects assigned by the Site EHS lead.
