Printing Assistant
Job Overview
A Printing Assistant performs a variety of tasks in operating printing presses and bindery equipment and manually finished printed documents. Under the supervision of the Operations Officer, the incumbent shall provide a variety of printing related support to the WHO Country Office, including:
1. To independently operate the printing press/machine to perform various printing related official tasks.
2. To ensure that the printing press/machine is in a running condition and good order. To fix minor issues in the printing machine/press and ask for IT support for any major issue that requires a technician’s intervention to fix the issue.
3. To provide technical input in purchasing of printing press supplies and to assess the future needs to maintain right levels of supplies/materials such as paper rolls, ink, other supplies required to meet various printing requirements.
4. To print and collate the materials, such as booklets and backdrop, standees etc.
5. To assemble, staple, and bind the printed material to be used in various meetings and official events.
6. To review the incoming printing assignments, establish priority and schedule assignments accordingly.
7. To ask for advise from the supervisor or concerned technical unit for clarification (if required) such as number of copies, paper size, quality, colour etc – before printing the documents.

- Can fix the minor maintenance issues of the printing press/machine.
