Reintegration Assistant
Job Overview
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (CoM) in Pakistan and direct supervision of the National Operations Officer; and, in collaboration with relevant units, the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for managing the following duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Assist in the identification of new possibilities in business set up, education, housing, training and job placement and any other possible reintegration opportunities and services relevant to returnees
- Assist in negotiating with service providers providing services/ products to returnees to facilitate their reintegration process
- Contact migrants with information concerning employment and vocational placements and housing identified
- Assist in provide feedbacks on IRPs after getting information about provision of housing, vocational training or business set up, based on geographical location and training needs
- Assist returnees in drafting business plans and guiding them in setting up their businesses with information on how to obtain documents for a business, possible competitors, additional sources of funding and possible problems that they might encounter
- Assist in the preparation of periodical reports concerning the activities of the reintegration of beneficiary groups
- Follow-up on financial payments for the beneficiaries; ensuring prompt payment to the supplier of the training organization for the beneficiary
- Assist in the organization/conduction of monitoring/evaluation exercises and make physical visits at business sites of returnees
- Assist in organizing teleconferences & mentoring/ advise sessions whenever requested
- Arrange business Management/ Enterprise Development Training liaison with the institute /participants to ensure proper training arrangements and following up to ensure all necessary payments and report
- Provide arrival/reception assistance to returnees upon request from various IOM missions
- Conduct interviews with family tracing activities and AVR of unaccompanied alien minors by physical visits
- Be able to us the web based applications operating in the organization.
- Any other duties assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
EDUCATION:
- High School Degree/Certificate preferably in the field of Social Sciences, Business Administration, Management, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with four years of relevant professional experience; or
- Bachelors or Equivalent or Higher in the above fields with 2 years of relevant professional experience.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in community mobilization and counselling.
- Experience in the usage of office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.)
- Experience in the development and implementation of administrative control procedures.
LANGUAGES:
Required:
- Fluency in English and Urdu (oral and written).
Desirable:
- Working knowledge of any other local language/s.
